Youth and Family Programming
Children and families are a large part of the Family Resource Center (FRC). We provide a safe environment for the children and families living within our community and offer a wide variety of high quality programs for these groups. Our programs assist children and adolescents in adjusting to university living as well as promote their social and academic success. Youth & Family Programs at the FRC consist of a wide range of recreational and academic programs including daily after school activities, morning programs for our toddlers, weekly evening and weekend programs for children and adolescents, and a number of monthly and special event programs. In addition to focusing on the youth in our community, the FRC provides a variety of family centered programs which promote the importance of parent-child interactions and encourage families to come together and socialize at our facility. Click on the links below to find out more information concerning the variety of Youth & Family Programs available at the FRC!
In addition to the high quality child, adolescent, and family programs offered at our facility, the Youth & Family Programs area has a wonderful and highly motivated staff of student workers and volunteers who themselves are pursuing degrees in fields that are related to children and families. These staff members work hard to create developmentally appropriate programs which meet the needs of the children and families within our community. Some of their responsibilities include providing supervision during programs, assisting children and families with their adjustment to the university and Stillwater community, and developing lesson plans and activities to implement during our programs. Please feel free to stop by the FRC to meet our staff or to ask for assistance with issues or concerns you may be facing.
