Red Dirt Pump Fest

Join Outdoor Adventure for the 16th annual Red Dirt Pump Fest, a top-rope climbing competition held at Oklahoma State's climbing wall! Compete against athletes from all around the region for your chance to win some great prizes.

Athlete Information:
To climb in the competition, the early bird registration cost is $30 and ends February 17th. If you've got a team of 5 or more, the cost is only $25 per climber. A third heat has been added this year and each heat has a max of 30 climbers. Heats fill up fast, so sign up now to have your top choice! Your registration will include a goodie bag of swag from local and national sponsors, as well as a chance to win some awesome door prizes! For anyone coming into town Friday night that wants to brave the elements, FREE camping accommodations are available at our challenge course site, located about a mile from the gym. Bathrooms are located at the site, and showers are available at the gym. Aside from this, there are numerous hotels and AirBnBs in the area.

If you're interested in making a donation or sponsoring the event in any way, please email our office at outdoor-adventure@okstate.edu. Our participants are dedicated climbers, and we are looking for donations for door prizes to help up further enhance the experience of the event, as well as small items we can offer to each participant to show our appreciation of their continued support of our program.

As a sponsor of our competition, your logo will be heavily marketing leading up to and during the event, as well as long after the completion. Your logo will be added to any marketing materials we send out, as well as the back of our shirts that each participant receives, which are worn by climbers across the region for years following their participation. Additionally, we currently advertise banners of our sponsors in our gym and would love to add yours to the wall for the event. Director Bill Morrison presents "Dawson City: Frozen Time"

Allied Arts is celebrating the film festival season with a festival of their own and we are bringing director, Bill Morrison, as our headliner for the season.  Mark your calendars to catch his documentary “Dawson City: Frozen Time” and hear from him as he introduces the film and answers questions from the audience. AMC Theater. Admission is FREE. $1 concessions will be available.

Movie synopsis: “In 1978 Canada, a bulldozer digs up a long-lost collection of 533 nitrate film prints from the early 1900s.”

No Man's Land Film Festival

Each year, Outdoor Adventure hosts the Red Dirt Climbing Competition. To add to this event, this year, we are also hosting the No Man's Land Film Festival the night before! The No Man's Land Film Festival is an adventure film festival that aims to undefine femininity in adventure and sport through film. The film showing is FREE to attend and will be followed by a panel of local and regional adventurers to talk about their experiences.

For anyone coming into town Friday night that wants to brave the elements, FREE camping accommodations are available at our challenge course site, located about a mile from the gym. Applied Probability and Statistical Methods

This two-day workshop provides a practical guide for statistical methods useful for engineering and business. Techniques include probability models, determining distribution metrics, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, uncertainty analysis, and forecasting. Applications include regression, statistical process control, reliability, design of experiments, evolution of belief, and data presentation and reporting. Upon completion of this program, participants will be able to:


Evaluate data in terms of appropriate distribution and its metrics

Evaluate experimental results and compare treatments

Understand “reject” and “accept” and associated Type-I and Type-II errors

Assess and represent uncertainty in data and in modeling results

Choose appropriate statistical tests for the application attributes

According to the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA), full-blown eating disorders typically begin between 18 and 21 years of age. The association estimates that between 10-20% of women and 4-10% of men in college suffer from an eating disorder, and rates are on the rise. Join the Department of Wellness to gain knowledge on the types of eating disorders as well as their warning signs and symptoms.
