Cowboy Stampede Rodeo

The OSU Rodeo Team and the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Oklahoma State University are proud to present the fourth annual Cowboy Stampede rodeo Oct. 5-7. Performances will take place each evening at 7 at the Payne County Expo Center, Highway 51 and Fairgrounds Road.

Each evening's performance will feature nine events. The students will be competing as individuals and as a team. Championship buckles will be presented to event and all-around winners at Saturday night's championship performance.

On Saturday night, children can participate in a Kids' Corral starting at 6 p.m. They can enjoy stick horse races, pin the tail on Bullet, coloring a Homecoming coloring sheet and roping a dummy. Children also will receive an orange OSU bandanna for joining in on the fun.

A variety of food trucks will be set up at the rodeo.

Children ages 5 and younger are free and discounted tickets are $5 with an OSU ID, school ID or OSU Alumni Association membership.

Tickets are available Sept. 1 online at rodeo.okstate.edu, at Cavender's in Stillwater or on campus Oct. 2-3 in Ag Hall and Oct 4-5 at Chi-O Clock. Tickets will be sold at the gate (while supplies last) prior to each performance. Gates will open at 5 p.m.

Ugandan Kids Choir Concert

The children in the Ugandan Kids Choir bring a message of hope through traditional music and dance. As they tour the US, they delight audiences with their high-energy performances and infectious joy.

Each choir is made up of 10 sponsored children who come from the poorest parts of Uganda. The children are chosen for their enthusiasm, ability, and dedication—all of which make them potential leaders when they return to their communities.

DASNR Honors

The Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources at Oklahoma State University has a rich tradition and history of improving the quality of life for all Oklahomans through conducting and disseminating science-based research.

This is not possible without the achievements and excellence of its alumni, as well as other leaders around the world who are not alums of the college, but contribute to its mission. To acknowledge some of these outstanding alumni and friends of the university, DASNR selected its Distinguished Alumni and DASNR Champion award winners.

Recognized as 2017 Distinguished Alumni of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources are Richard Large, William (Bill) Lingren and Paul Redman.

The 2017 DASNR Champions are John Groendyke, John Patrick Lopez and Merlin and Lillian Schantz.

A reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will follow at 6:00 p.m.

Held the First Friday of every month at 12:00 pm in 239 Murray Hall.





Come enjoy free food and talk philosophy with other inquiring minds! Each month a different faculty member will give a brief presentation on a philosophical topic and initiate an informal discussion among students. Students of any major are welcome; no philosophical background will be presupposed. Pizza and soda will be provided.

Goldwater Applications 2017

Applications are available for students wanting to apply for the Barry M. Goldwater scholarship.

OSU is allowed to nominate a limited number of students to compete for the scholarship.

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship was created by Congress to honor Senator Barry M. Goldwater and to encourage excellence in the areas of science, engineering, or mathematics/computer science.  This $7,500 scholarship is for current sophomores or juniors who have a high GPA and plans to attend graduate school in the areas above.  This award is particularly for those students who have a strong record of undergraduate research in one of the fields above as demonstrated by ongoing/completed projects, reports, presentations, publications, etc.

OSU is allowed to nominate a limited number of students to compete for the scholarship.

The Morris K. and Stewart L. Udall Scholarship was created by Congress to honor Congressman Morris K. Udall and later to include Stewart L. Udall and to award students with career aspirations related to the environment and sustainability.  the $5,000 award is also available to native American and Alaska Native students who intend to pursue careers in native health care or tribal public health policy.  This scholarship is for current sophomores or juniors who have a good GPA and plans to attend graduate school in the areas above.  This award is particularly for those students who have a strong record of undergraduate research or public service in one of the fields above as demonstrated by ongoing/completed projects, reports, presentations, publications, etc.

The Harry S. Truman Scholarship was created by Congress for those who intend to pursue careers in public service, defined as "Employment in government at any level, uniformed services, public-interest organizations, nongovernmental research and/or educational organizations, public and private schools, and public service oriented non-profit organizations such as those whose primary purposes are to help needy or disadvantaged persons or to protect the environment."  This award is particularly for those students who have one or two passions relating to public service (as broadly defined above) where it is clear that you have not only been actively involved in your passion but have truly become a champion for it at the local, state, national, or international level.

"Get Out

Student Union Activities Board would like to invite all to watch "Get Out." “Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams), have reached the meet-the-parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy and Dean. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he never could have imagined.” Enjoy this free event and our $1 concessions.
