LLP End of Year Report
Academic Year 2024-25
At OSU, LLPs remain a high-impact practice. They provide students with support, engagement
and community-based learning experiences that enhance academic success and personal
development.
In 2024–2025, LLP participants earned an average GPA of 3.41 and had a retention rate
of 88%, indicating a positive effect on first-year achievement and persistence. Students
consistently reported that community, peer support and shared academic experiences
helped ease their transition to college and strengthened their connection to OSU.

- Academic Advantage: LLP participants achieved 3.41 GPA vs 3.14 freshman baseline (+0.27 advantage)
- Retention Success: 88% retention vs. 81% freshman baseline (+7% advantage)
- Community Building: 79% of survey respondents cited community as the most valuable aspect
- High Engagement: 67% of students participated in LLP activities at least a few times monthly
- Strong Recommendation Rate: 85% of students would recommend their LLP to incoming students
