Services at the FRC

The Family Resource Center (FRC) is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. to serve the residents of Family and Graduate Student Housing. We offer monthly meal gatherings by neighborhood and a shopping shuttle to area grocery stores. We encourage you to take advantage of free services we offer.

Food and Supplies

  • The Food Pantry provides non-perishable food items for OSU students experiencing food insecurity.
  • The Loan Closet is a free resource for FGSH residents to borrow household utensils that have been donated by previous residents, Items may include but is not limited to kitchenware, kitchen appliances, cleaning supplies, children's toys, strollers, bicycles, decorations, and small desks and tables. To donate, contact or the Family Resource Center at 405-744-6539. FGSH is unable to accept clothing donations; however, there are many local charities in town that do.  
  • Our Daily Bread Food and Resource Center provides free groceries through its mobile market stops at the Family Resource Center.
  • The Red Pantry provides menstrual and hygiene products for residents.
  • You may lease vegetable garden plots at the FGSH Garden Plots in the spring for the growing season.
  • The Shopping Shuttle provides a free-of-charge transportation to and from local food stores with front-door drop-offs

Meeting Spaces

  • The GREAT Room is a large, multipurpose space that is available for residents.
  • Residents may use the Brumley Community Center (BCC) free of charge to host personal gatherings for fewer than 49 people.

  • The FGSH Community Rules and Standards Handbook (pdf) provides detailed information concerning lease agreements, laundry, mail, Wi-Fi  and much more.
  • FRC's 24-hour computer lab with remote printing option.
  • Learn more about doing your laundry  at no charge at the University Laundry and the Brumley Neighborhood Laundry.
