YRH Garden Plots Information
Garden Plots Instructions
The Family Resource Center (FRC) is offering you the opportunity to become part of
its community garden for the 2026 season.
The Garden Plots Interest meeting is March 2, 2026, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the
FRC Great Room.
Read through and fill out the interest form below.

- Reserve your plot. Plots open March 16 (Spring Break)
- YRH residents may reserve garden plots at the following rates:
- 1 Plot ($20)
- 2 Plots ($40)
- 3 Plots ($60)
- 4 Plots ($70)
- 5 Plots ($80)
- FRC leases plots on a first-come, first-served basis to year-round housing residents only.
- Charges for the plots are made to your OSU Bursar account.
- YRH residents may reserve garden plots at the following rates:
- Garden Area Policies
- Keep planting areas neat.
- Keep walkways clear of plants and objects.
- Digging trenches in or through walkways is prohibited.
- Be respectful of your fellow gardeners' plots, crops and supplies. Failure to comply can result in the cancellation of your gardening privileges.
- Moving stakes or planting in walkways is prohibited. Doing so can result in a fine of $10 per plot.
- Family Resource Center (FRC) provides garden tools. However, you are responsible for caring and storing equipment appropriately.
- Garden tools may not be left in plots, walkways or taken to your apartment.
- Properly dispose of garbage, trash, rocks and other materials in nearby garbage bins.
- Refrain from growing invasive plants such as sunflowers, bamboo, etc.
- Responsibilities
- We are not responsible if someone takes your crops, supplies or tools.
- We are not responsible if someone or an unforeseen force (weather, mowing, etc.) damages your crops.
- We will not replace or reimburse you for lost, stolen or damaged items.
- End of Season
- Your plot(s) must be cleared by Saturday, December 6, 2026 or one week before you move out of your apartment. Failure to do so will result in a fine of $75 per plot.
- Clearing a plot means removing and properly disposing of everything, including plants, weeds, roots, wood, materials, trash, etc.
- You must email fgsh.cro1@okstate.edu after you finish clearing your plot(s).
- Lease Agreement
- By leasing a garden plot, you agree to follow all rules, OSU policies, and federal, state and local laws. Failure to comply will result in the immediate cancellation of your garden privileges.
