Proxess Mobile Keys
Housing and Residential Life is upgrading bedroom door locks in selected year-round housing apartments. The Proxess Mobile Keys app allows you to use your smartphone as the key to your bedroom door, providing convenient, secure access to your room.
Important: Your mobile key unlocks your bedroom door only. Continue using your apartment key to enter your apartment's front door. Your mobile key is ready to use immediately after activation.
Tip: Keep Bluetooth enabled and your phone charged so your mobile key is always available.
Getting Started
You will receive an email from Proxess (DoNotReply) with the subject line: "You have been invited to Proxess Mobile." Open this email on your smartphone and complete the steps below.

Step 1: Download the Proxess Mobile Key App
Download the Proxess Mobile Keys app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Step 2: Open the app
After installing the app, open it once.
Important: Do not tap anything inside the app. Simply open it, then return to the Proxess invitation email.

Step 3: Activate your mobile key
Scroll to the bottom of the Proxess invitation email and tap OPEN THIS LINK.
The link will automatically authenticate your mobile key and open the Proxess Mobile Keys app. After activation, return to the app to begin using your mobile bedroom key.
Using Your Mobile Bedroom Key

Unlock Your Bedroom Door
Step 1: Open the Proxess Mobile Keys app.
Step 2: Verify Bluetooth is turned on. Your assigned bedroom door will appear in the app.
Step 3: Tap the blue Unlock button.
If the door unlocks successfully:
- The lock will flash blue, then green.
- The app will display a confirmation that your door is unlocked.

Change the Auto-Lock Setting
Auto-lock keeps your bedroom secure whenever you close the door. If you prefer to leave your door unlocked while you're in your apartment, you can temporarily disable auto-lock. You can change the setting using either option below.

Option 1: Use the Proxess Mobile Keys App
- Open the Proxess Mobile Keys app.
- Locate the Lock Toggle at the bottom of the screen.
- Move the toggle to the right to disable automatic locking.
- Move the toggle to the left to enable automatic locking.

Option 2: Use the Button on the Lock
Press the button on the back of the bedroom door lock.
- The door will not lock automatically when it closes.
- You will need to lock the door manually using the Proxess app.

What if I rent the entire apartment and don't need the mobile key?
If you have rented an entire apartment, you can use the Toggle function to leave unoccupied bedroom doors unlocked when appropriate.
