Housing and Residential Life offers a variety of meaningful student employment opportunities, and Desk Services is one of them. Desk Services team members play a vital role in supporting residents and keeping residence halls running smoothly.

 

Desk managers oversee daily desk operations, supervise desk assistants and serve as on-call staff for lockouts and other urgent needs. Desk managers are student leaders who help ensure consistent, reliable service for residents. In recognition of their responsibilities, desk managers receive housing and a meal plan as part of their remumeration.

 

Desk assistants are often the first point of contact for residents. They staff the residence hall service desks and assist with lost keys, maintenance requests, mail and packages, locating staff members and reporting emergencies. Desk assistants help create a welcoming and supportive environment for all residents.
