Parker Hall is home to the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT) freshman Living Learning Program. Maude’s Squad Women in Engineering is housed on the second floor Diversity Engineering is on the third floor, and CEAT engineering students live on the fourth and fifth floors.
Parker Hall has been recently been completely renovated. All resident rooms have new wood grain laminate floor, new coverings on the built-in shelf and vanity, as well as new blinds and each room door has been refaced. The bathrooms have all new mirrors, faucets and shower heads, and new privacy doors have been installed for the toilet and shower stalls.
Lounges have been painted and have a calendar grid on the wall so you can easily see what is happening and can plan your schedule with ease.
The first floor desk area has been gutted, walls removed, and a new glass storefront will be installed. This space is used for individual and small group meetings and advising. The first floor kitchen was updated with new paint, hardware, and all new appliances.
The basement has undergone the most radical renovation, and is now the CEAT Parker Student Excellence Center. The walls have been removed, the ceilings exposed, and new carpet, paint, lighting, and furniture provides a dedicated study and gathering location for all residents. There is also a glass enclosed presentation room, so students can practice and prepare for presentations.
The laundry room got a new fresh look, and all new washers and dryers! The public bathroom located in the basement has also been updated.
