Step 1: Plan Your Move
Get ready before you hit the road to Stillwater. Here’s how to plan ahead and make move-in day a breeze:

Welcome, International Student: What you need to know
Step 2: Check-In Process
Move-In Day is here. Here’s what to a short-list of what you need to know when you arrive:
- Bring your student ID or government-issued photo ID.
- Head to your hall’s check-in location to pick up your keys.
- Your room assignment was included in an email from reslife@okstate.edu.
- Exception Aug. 11: Sorority Recruitment. Check in at your hall's service desk.
- Complete your Room Occupancy Checklist before moving in—it confirms the condition of your room and protects you from damage charges later.
- Once the check-in and ROCs are completed, you can start moving in whenever you are ready.
- Look for Cowboy Carriers to help with unloading.
- Keep your door locked when you’re not in the room—residence halls will have extended open hours during move-in.
- Pro tip: It’s hot in Stillwater—be sure to adjust your hall’s thermostat and cool your space.

Step 3: After Move-In Day
You did it—you’re officially home! Now it’s time to settle in and start your OSU adventure:
- Meet your RA (resident assistant) and your roommate(s).
- Attend your first floor meeting and get to know your community.
- Explore your hall, campus, and dining options.
- Plan to attend campus traditions and hall activities.
- Find your place, make new friends, and start creating memories that will last a lifetime.
