Desk assistants help connect residents with full-time staff; check out games and sports equipment; assist with locked outs, lost and found, lost keys; manage mail and package distribution; and report maintenance issues; and more.

Fall/Thanksgiving Break 2026
Desk hours for fall break are in effect Saturday, Nov. 21, through Sunday, Nov. 29. Regular desk hours resume Sunday, Nov. 29, unless otherwise noted.
- Most desks: Close Saturday, Nov. 21, at midnight and reopen Sunday, Nov. 29, at 8 a.m.
- Family Resource Center: Closes Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 8 p.m. and reopens Monday, Nov. 30, at 8 a.m.
- Village A Desk: Open 24/7 throughout fall break, except during the Thanksgiving holiday closure listed below.
- Griffith Community Center Desk: Hours from Saturday, Nov. 21, through Sunday, Nov. 29:
- Weekdays: 8 a.m. to midnight
- Weekends: Noon to midnight
Thanksgiving Holiday Closure
- Village A and Griffith Community Center desks close Wednesday, Nov. 25, at midnight and reopen Friday, Nov. 27, at 8 a.m.
Winter Break 2026-27
- Graduation Move-Out: Sunday, Dec. 13
- All desks are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for graduation move-out, with the following exceptions:
- Village A Desk: Open 24/7.
- Griffith Community Center Desk: Open from 10 a.m. to midnight.
- Village A Desk: Open 24/7.
- All desks are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for graduation move-out, with the following exceptions:
- Winter break desk hours
- Desk hours for Winter Break begin Monday, Dec. 14. Regular hours resume Sunday, Jan. 4, 2027, at 8 a.m., unless otherwise stated.
- Stout, Commons, Wentz and Bennett desks and Pattillo Community Center: Closed for winter break.
- Village A Desk: Open 24/7 throughout winter break, except during the holiday closures listed below.
- Griffith Community Center Desk:
- Weekdays: 8 a.m. to midnight
- Weekends: Noon to midnight
- Family Resource Center: Closes Thursday, Dec. 24, at 8 p.m. and reopens Monday, Jan. 4, at 8 a.m.
