Oshkosh Placement Exchange (OPE)

The Oshkosh Placement Exchange (OPE) is an employment platform in which employers (colleges, universities, residential boarding schools and other professional foundations) from across the United States list positions in the field of student affairs that broadly reflect the amazing and rewarding career opportunities within the realm of higher and secondary education.

 

OPE has always provided an exceptional platform for the Department of Housing and Residential Life HRL to connect with job-seeking candidates to apply for graduate teaching assistant positions within Residential Living and Residential Learning. While the specific job duties vary, each of our GTA positions is designed to provide staff with curriculum development and implementation, leadership development; management of a program or building; crisis response and community standards education.

Requirements

All positions require a bachelor's degree and admittance to a graduate program. Some positions may require an early summer start date. 

 

Remuneration

  • Stipend: $1,200/month
  • Room: On-campus apartment, including basic cable and utilities
  • University Dining plan: $1,000/semester and pro-rated for summer term
  • Tuition: In-state and out-of-state waivers
