Housing Registration

This timeline applies to current residents as well as transfer and incoming first-year students needing housing for the summer semester.
About the Deposit
- Admitted, incoming first-year students must submit the $300 enrollment deposit to register for housing.
- For transfer students and others needing housing, there is a $50 nonrefundable housing deposit, payable through the OSU Housing Portal.
Note: The dates and details listed below may change. Unless otherwise specified, all activities close at 11:59 p.m.
Timeline for Summer 2026
- (March 24 at 10 a.m. to August 1 at 5 p.m.) Housing registration
- To start the registration process, log in Housing Registration.
- (Week of April 13) Room assignments are emailed
- To register, log in to the OSU Housing Portal using your O-Key credentials.
- Summer residents are assigned to one of The Villages.
- (May 10-12) Current resident transfer from spring assignments to new summer assignments.
- Instructions will be emailed to your OSU email address.
- (Aug. 1-2) Move out or transfer to fall assignments
- Move-out instructions will be emailed to your OSU email address.
- Summer residents who have fall leases will move to their fall rooms. Instructions will be emailed.
