Be part of our Cowboy family! Registration for 2025-2026 for freshmen, transfer students and students needing OSU housing begins February 1.

Note: Information below may be updated as needed. All activities close at 11:59 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

2025-2026 Academic Year

(Oct. 1 to Feb. 1) Priority consideration for Living Learning Programs (LLPs) closes Saturday, February 1. Submit your application now.
- Learn more about Living Learning Programs and find one that is right for you.
- Submit your LLP application.
(Dec. 1) Enrollment deposit opens
- Admitted students must submit the $300 enrollment deposit in order to register for housing beginning Saturday, February 1.
- Room assignments are based on your housing preferences and the date and time you submitted your enrollment deposit.

(Dec. 1 to Sept. 3) Housing Exemption Request (form) for the Freshmen Residency Requirement opens
Housing exemption request (form) opens Sunday, December 1 and closes Wednesday, September 3.
(Feb. 1 at 8 a.m.) Housing registration opens
- To start the registration process, log in to Housing Registration (via the OSU Housing Portal).
- You will rank housing style preferences (traditional, suites, deluxe suites and apartments) and submit roommate pairs.
- Visit the Hall Finder to learn about housing styles, hall amenities and rates.
(March 31 ) Living Learn Program Match Day
On Monday, March 31 you will find out by email which LLP has selected you to be a part of their community.
(April 1 at noon) Deadline to change or update roommate pairs or housing-style preferences.
Log in to Housing Registration (via the OSU Housing Portal) to update your information.
(April) Room assignments begin (and will continue through the summer)
- Room assignments are based on housing preferences and the date/time the enrollment deposit was submitted.
- Look for an email with your room assignment in your okstate.edu email.
(May 1) Last day to cancel with a partial refund of the deposit
- To request a cancellation, email reslife@okstate.edu.
- If approved, your room assignment will automatically be canceled.
(June 1 to Aug. 1) Room swap and waitlist options open for residents with room assignment only

(July 11) Deadline for fraternity students to submit their bid form to receive their housing deposit. After this date, students will not receive their housing deposit back.
No action is required at ResLife.
(July 15) Last day to cancel without a late cancellation fee.
- To request a cancellation, email reslife@okstate.edu.
- If approved, your room assignment will be automatically canceled.
(July 15) Last day to submit housing exemption and required documents without fees.

(Aug. 1) Last day to request a housing exemption for the Freshman Residency Requirement and be notified of its status before classes begin.

(Aug. 1) Room swap and waitlist option closes
This means there are no available spaces that match your request to change to, so you will keep your current room assignment.
(Aug. 11-4) Move-In Days
Dates subject to change.

- Wednesday, August 13 and Thursday, August 14 (General Move In)
