Traditional halls, with double occupancy and community bathrooms, are the most common
living experience on campus.
Research shows that students in traditional halls are more likely than not to have
successful academic experiences, meet new people, socialize, and build resilient friendship
support networks.
» The Legacy Halls
ResLife's traditional legacy halls, built between 1949 and 1970, are Stout, Wentz, Parker and Iba. A majority of students live in these halls.
» Modified Traditional Halls
The University Commons Complex, which opened in 2015, provides a modified traditional
experience where small blocks of six to eight rooms share a common bathroom. Commons
North is OSU's only all-women hall.
