Housing Registration for 2026-2027

This timeline applies to students who qualify for year-round housing leases. This includes:

• Graduate students
• Single students with dependents
• Married students (with or without dependents)
• Other approved populations

Important Dates

Note: The dates and details listed below may change. Unless otherwise specified, all activities close at 11:59 p.m. All times listed are in Central Standard Time (CST).

• New, incoming year-round housing residents
  • (Feb. 1) Registration begins February 1 at 8 a.m. To register, log in to the OSU Housing Portal using your O-Key credentials.
  • Late spring: Begin receiving emails with housing assignments
  • (After July 15) To cancel your housing registration, complete the Request to Cancel (form) in the OSU Housing Portal by July 15 to avoid a $250 late cancellation fee.
  • (Sept. 30) Registration closes. If you need housing after this date, contact the Occupancy Team at reslife@okstate.edu or 405-744-5592.
• Current year-round housing residents
  • (Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. to Jan. 30 at 5 p.m.) To register, log in to the OSU Housing Portal using your O-Key credentials.
  • (March 24 at 10 a.m.) Summer Registration will open to all students seeking summer housing. Students must complete summer registration to retrain their keys over the summer session, if they do not, they will be expected to check out by May 9.
  • (July 15) To cancel your housing registration, complete and submit the Request to Cancel form through the OSU Housing Portal.
  • If you cancel after receiving a room assignment but before July 15, a $75 cancellation fee will be charged.
  • If you cancel after July 15, a $250 late cancellation fee will be charged.
  • Note:  If you register for housing, after July 15 and then cancel, a $250 late cancellation fee will be charged.

Leasing Details

• General Lease Information
  • Nine-month (academic year) lease with the option to apply for summer housing to remain in the same space.

  • Residents are assigned to apartments in the following neighborhoods: Demaree, Prosser, Stevens, Williams and West.
• 2025-2026 Lease Dates
  • (Aug. 14, 2025, through May 9, 2026) 2025-2026 Academic Year Lease
    
  • (May 10, 2026, through May 31, 2026) Residents must have a lease for 2025-2026 academic year or an approved Late Stay Request.

  • (May 10, 2026, through Aug. 2, 2026) Summer Lease. Residents must have a lease for 2026-2027 academic year or be enrolled or affiliated with OSU for Summer 2026.
• 2026-2027 Lease Dates
  • (Aug. 12 through May 8, 2027) 2026-2027 Academic Year Lease.
  • (May X, 2027 through Aug. X, 2027) Residents must have a lease for 2025-2026 academic year or an approved Late Stay Request.

  • (Aug. XX through Aug. XX) Summer Lease.Residents must have a lease for 2026-2027 academic year or be enrolled or affiliated with OSU for Summer 2026.
