Housing Registration for 2026-2027

This timeline applies to students who qualify for year-round housing leases. This includes:

• Graduate students
• Single students with dependents
• Married students (with or without dependents)
• Other approved populations

Important Dates

Note: The dates and details listed below may change. Unless otherwise specified, all activities close at 11:59 p.m. All times listed are in Central Standard Time (CST).

• New, incoming year-round housing residents
  • (Feb. 1) Registration begins February 1 at 8 a.m. To register, log in to the OSU Housing Portal using your O-Key credentials.
  • Late spring: Begin receiving emails with housing assignments
  • (July 15) Complete the Request to Cancel (form) in the OSU Housing Portal by July 15 to avoid a late cancellation fee.
  • (Sept. 30) Registration closes. If you need housing after this date, contact the Occupancy Team at reslife@okstate.edu or 405-744-5592.
• Current year-round housing residents
  • (Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. to Jan. 30 at 5 p.m.) To register, log in to the OSU Housing Portal using your O-Key credentials.
  • (March 24 at 10 a.m.) Summer Registration will open to all students seeking summer housing. Students must complete summer registration to retrain their keys over the summer session, if they do not they will be expected to check out by May 9.

Leasing Details

• General Lease Information
  • Nine-month (academic year) leasewith the option to apply for summer housing to remain in the same space.

  • Residents are assigned to apartments in the following neighborhoods: Demaree, Prosser, Stevens, Williams and West.
• 2025-2026 Lease Dates
  • (June 1 through Aug. 4) Summer Extension. Residents must have a lease for 2024-2025 academic year and be enrolled or affiliated with OSU for Fall 2025.

  • (Aug. 5 through Aug. 13) Lease Gap. Residents are charged a daily rate and must remain in the same apartment for the gap period.

  • (Aug. 14 through May 9) 2025-2026 Academic Year Lease.
• 2026-2027 Lease Dates
  • (May 9 through Aug. 1) Summer Extension. Residents must have a lease for the 2025-2026 academic year and be enrolled or affiliated with OSU for Fall 2026.

  • (Aug. XX through Aug. XX) Lease Gap. Residents are charged a daily rate and must remain in the same apartment for the gap period.
  • (Aug. XX through May 8, 2027) 2026-2027 Academic Year Lease.
